STOK maintains contacts in the field of traffic safety with, for example, the Institute for Road Safety Research (SWOV), the United Traffic Safety Organisation (3VO), the and the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management.

Our focus in this respect is on the application of (technical) possibilities that could make a contribution towards traffic safety. Examples:
- A black box with the specific objective of mapping driving behaviour;
- EVAPS (Emergency Vehicle Approach System) is a warning system to give approaching emergency services faster and safer passage through traffic;
- Accident analysis programme. This programme makes it possible to make a factual analysis of an accident available within one hour. Using this information, insurers are better able to defend motorists' rights and can act faster.
