Environment

Driving a car is freedom; we call this our mobility. That mobility is changing. The relationship between mobility and the environment is one of STOK's points of focus. Driving differently (better) and less is good for the environment, our safety and the motorist's wallet.

STOK stands for rewarding good behaviour.

This can take a variety of forms:
Driving better = reduced fuel expenditure
Driving less = helps the congestion problem and is good for the environment
Many of the things that we do each day affect the atmosphere, such as riding a scooter, driving a car, travelling by train or going by bus.

The consequences of climate change may be significant and differ from region to region. Glaciers are receding, spring snowfall levels are declining, nighttime temperatures are rising and the number of frost periods recorded is falling, sea levels are rising, and flooding may ensue.

There is much anxiety about the increase in global temperature and the rise in sea levels. For that reason, more than 100 countries agreed in Kyoto to push back the emission of greenhouse gasses. With coming into force of the Kyoto Treaty, a value has also been attached to CO2; this is referred to as the emissions trading of CO2 rights.

By driving in a more environmentally friendly way, you will be ensuring fewer CO2 emissions, and that is worth every penny!
