Why is this of interest to government?
|
The government sees that mobility contributes to economic development, but also recognises that mobility brings with it problems of its own. Principally, this involves congestion, the environment and safety. The motto is that mobility is permitted, but not always and not everywhere. Opportunities are being sought to influence the behaviour of Dutch road users and to ameliorate the negative consequences from this, while retaining the choice for mobility.
